The Northbrook Park District provides and maintains more than 500 acres of land in 22 park areas, offering distinctive opportunities for recreation, health and fitness. You can play, learn, celebrate and enjoy nature in parks, playgrounds and natural areas.
Are you looking for a park where you can fish? Do you want to try bicycle racing, skateboarding or snowshoeing? Would you like to climb a 30-foot tower or learn to play golf? Maybe you need a shelter with electricity for a company picnic or family reunion. Our parks have what you want.
Parks and Properties Department Mission
To provide safe, well-maintained recreation areas to meet the needs of Northbrook Park District residents and to provide support for the other Park District Divisions.
Repair and maintenance of park areas, facilities and buildings; planning and capital improvements; occupational safety and risk management.
Parks are open from sunrise to sunset unless otherwise posted.
Three Northbrook parks offer scenic spots that can be reserved for picnics. The locations are: Wood Oaks Green, Techny Park and Fields and the Village Green. Grilling is available at Wood Oaks Green and at one of the shelters in Techny Park and Fields.
