During Public Skating Times
The following is included in Sports Center party packages:
- 2 1/2 hours party room rental
- Skating admission for 10-25 individuals
- Skate rental for 10-25 individuals
- Party host
- Party decorations & balloons
- Cake & punch
- Plates, Cups and Flatware
Resident $309/Non-Resident $375
Additional guests can be added for $6 each (limit: 50)
(Parties require a $75 refundable security deposit.)
Broomball Party
Try a private broomball party! Ice rental and equipment prices apply. Each
participant must wear a helmet and sign a waiver. A parent or guardian must sign the waiver for anyone under 18 years old.
NEW! Schools on Skates
Educational Field Trips for your School at the Northbrook Sports Center
Plan an educational and fun outing for your students at the Sports Center. In our Schools on Skates Program, designed for students K-12, students will receive a tour of our facility (which includes the Northbrook Sports Hall of Fame) from one of our friendly staff members and then a brief off- ice lesson that covers different types of ice sports, skating history and equipment.
Then it is onto the ice where your students will receive guided instruction from one of our Sports Center skating instructors. Our program is also in alignment with the Illinois State Learning Standards focusing on Physical Development & Health (State Goal 19). Schools on Skates is an inclusive field trip and students of all abilities are encouraged to join in on the fun. Please inform the Sports Center Staff if you have special needs students and we will do all that we can to make the experience safe and fun for everyone.
Schools on Skates spots fill up quickly, so schedule trip today!
Available Ice Times for School Field Trips:
- Mondays: 10:15-11:30am
- Tuesdays: 11am-12:15pm
- Thursdays: 10:15-11:30am
Schools on Skates Rates:
- $75 non-refundable reservation fee for ice time and Sports Center Skating Instructor
- $5 per student admission and skate rental (minimum 20 students)
- FREE admission and skate rental for all teachers/chaperones
(Additional skating coaches are available at a rate of $45 per half hour)
Please book your Schools on Skates field trip AT LEAST one week in advance. Your final numbers and final payment won't be due until you arrive for your field trip at the Sports Center.
Field trip times maybe be extended and rooms are available for rental.
Arrangements can be made with the Northbrook Sports Center’s food vendor for lunch to be included in the school package price. Please contact the Sports Center for more information.
Northbrook Sports Center Room Rentals
Community Room
The full Community Room rents for
$85/hour and accommodates up to 100 people. It offers a full kitchen with a stove/oven combination, microwave and refrigerator/freezer. We provide tables and chairs and will arrange them to your specifications.
Max. Occupancy: 100
Half of the Community Room rents for $55/hour and holds up to 50 people. A room divider provides privacy. Customers can request the kitchen side.
Max. Occupancy: 50
Multipurpose Room
The Multipurpose Room rents for $75/hour, contains a dance-style floor and will accommodate up to 60 people. A small kitchen is equipped with a microwave and refrigerator/freezer. We provide tables and chairs and will arrange them according to your specifications.
Max. Occupancy: 60
Rink Rentals
The Sports Center offers two year-round NHL-size ice rinks for rental.
Prime time ice (before 10pm): $310/hour
Non prime time (after 10pm): $255/hour
