The Northbrook Community Choir is open to everyone with a love of music and singing; there are no auditions required. All voice parts are welcome to join for the sheer joy of choral singing. The choir sings at area venues, including the Northbrook Public Library. In the past, the group has accepted invitations to perform at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D. C.
The Northbrook Community Choir meets on Monday evenings from September through May, with minimal rehearsals during the summer months. There is at least one performance in each session, fall and winter/spring. Music is selected from a variety of genres from pop to folk and classical to liturgical masses. Fall participants need to re-register for the winter/spring sessions. For more information, call the Performing Arts Office at 847·291·2367.
