Milton Berle and the Goldberg’s ruled TV and movie attendance was reaching an all-time high! The modern civil rights era was just beginning, and the world was in turmoil. The day begins with the annual Liberty Loop & Lap at Techny Prairie Park & Fields in the morning, followed by the Northbrook 4th of July parade down Cherry and Cedar Lane in the afternoon, and finishes with the big Northbrook 4th of July fireworks display in the evening.

Entertainment for younger audiences starts at 6:30pm, and all ages entertainment at 7:15pm. Be sure to stop by the Northbrook Park District table to enter our free weekly prize drawings and maybe get a fun giveaway item too!
Drop in for Tot Open Play at the Leisure Center! Our mats, hoops, balls and toddler-friendly equipment are perfect for ages 5 and under. Children are invited to play with others or by themselves if they prefer and must be accompanied by a caregiver.
